Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains what information the NIVA mobile app and this website handle, why, and what choices parents have.
NIVA is a developmental play app for children aged 12–72 months. Accounts are created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. NIVA is designed to collect only the information it needs to work.
1.Who is responsible
NIVA is operated by the entity named below, which is responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
Company information will be published before launch.
2.Information we collect
NIVA collects only the information needed to provide the service.
Parent account
- Email address
- Password and account authentication information
Child profile
- Nickname
- Birth month and year, or age
- Avatar
Gameplay
- Results and progress of the activities played in the app
A child profile does not require a real name, a photo or contact details. We encourage parents to choose a nickname that does not identify the child.
3.Information we do not collect or use
NIVA does not use:
- Precise location
- Contacts
- Photos
- Camera
- Microphone recording
- Advertising identifiers
- Third-party advertising
- Behavioural advertising
- Social features
- Child-facing external links
NIVA does not record your child's voice. The app may use your device's text-to-speech to read instructions aloud; this does not require microphone access.
4.How we use information
Information is used only to provide NIVA to your family:
- Creating and securing the parent account
- Progress tracking
- Age-appropriate activity selection
- Adaptive difficulty
- Parent-facing progress information
- Responding to support requests
We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for advertising and do not share it with advertisers.
5.Children's privacy
NIVA is used by young children, but accounts belong to parents. A child profile can only be created by a parent or legal guardian, who provides the child's information and agrees to its use as described in this policy.
Children are not asked to enter personal information while playing. The child-facing part of the app has no advertising, no social features and no links leading outside the app.
Parents can review, export or delete their child's information as described below.
6.Parent accounts
A NIVA account must be created by an adult who is the child's parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential and for the activity under your account.
7.Data retention
We keep account, child profile and gameplay information for as long as your account is active, so that progress can be shown and activities adapted.
When you delete your account, the associated child profiles and gameplay data are deleted as well, except where we are legally required to keep limited information.
8.Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure; please use a strong, unique password and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
9.Deleting your data
You can delete your NIVA account together with the child profiles and gameplay data linked to it. The steps are described on the Delete Account page.
Removing the app from your device does not by itself delete your account. A subscription is cancelled separately, in your store account.
10.Exporting your data
Parents can obtain a copy of the account, child profile and gameplay information held by NIVA. The Data & Privacy page explains how.
11.Third-party services
NIVA does not include third-party advertising or advertising analytics.
Premium subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is processed by the store; NIVA does not receive or store your payment card details. The stores handle your information under their own privacy policies.
Where we use service providers to operate NIVA, they process data only on our behalf and only for the purposes described in this policy.
The list of service providers that process data on behalf of NIVA will be published here before launch.
12.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data and your child's, such as the right to access, correct, delete or export it, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights by contacting us. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
13.This website
This website does not use advertising, tracking pixels or analytics cookies, and it does not collect children's data. As with any website, the server that delivers it may process technical information such as IP addresses for security and delivery.
14.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as NIVA evolves. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to inform parents, for example in the app.
15.Contact
For privacy questions or requests, please contact us:
Support contact will be published before launch.
