- Designed for parent involvement
What NIVA is
A calm place for play with a purpose, and a simple way for parents to follow along.
Developmentally aligned play
Activities are designed around what children typically explore at each stage between 12 and 72 months, using an evidence-informed approach.
Progress you can follow
NIVA records how activities go inside the app, so you can see which kinds of play your child has tried and how they went.
Guidance for parents
Short, practical notes help you understand each activity and carry the same ideas into everyday play away from the screen.
How it works
Six simple steps, with the parent in charge from the start.
1. The parent creates a profile
2. The child's age is selected
3. NIVA recommends age-appropriate activities
4. The child plays
5. NIVA records gameplay progress
6. The parent views progress and guidance

What parents get
NIVA is built for the adult as much as for the child.
Activities chosen for your child's age
You select your child's age and NIVA recommends activities suited to that age group.
Short sessions
Activities are brief, so they fit into everyday routines without taking over the day.
A clear progress view
See what your child has played and how the activities went, in a parent-facing area.
Practical guidance
Suggestions for joining in and for continuing the same ideas with real-world play.
A calm experience
No advertising and no child-facing links leading out of the app.
Privacy by design
Only the information needed to run the app is collected.
Privacy-first by design
NIVA collects only what it needs to work. Nothing is used for advertising.
What NIVA uses
- Parent email and sign-in details
- Child nickname, birth month and year (or age) and avatar
- In-app gameplay results and progress
What NIVA does not use
- Precise location
- Contacts
- Photos or camera
- Microphone recording
- Advertising identifiers
- Third-party or behavioural advertising
- Social features
- Child-facing external links
How progress works
Progress in NIVA is a record of play, not a test.
Recorded during play
When your child completes an activity, NIVA saves the result inside the app.
Used to adapt
Results help NIVA choose age-appropriate activities and adjust difficulty, so play is neither too easy nor too hard.
Shown to parents
You see a summary of gameplay in the parent area, with notes that help you make sense of it.
Progress information describes gameplay only. It is not a clinical assessment, a diagnosis or a prediction of how a child will develop.
Parents stay involved
Young children get the most from play when a trusted adult is nearby. NIVA is designed with that in mind.
- Sit with your child for the first activities and talk about what is happening.
- Keep sessions short and stop when your child loses interest.
- Use the guidance notes to continue the same idea with toys, books or everyday objects.
- Check progress from time to time and follow your child's lead.
