Data & Privacy
Last updated:
A plain-language summary of what data exists in NIVA, why it is processed and what you can do with it. The full legal text is in the Privacy Policy.
1.Privacy-first architecture
NIVA is built to work with as little personal data as possible. There is no advertising, no advertising identifiers and no social features, and the app does not access location, contacts, photos, the camera or the microphone.
2.Account data
For the parent account:
- Email address
- Password and account authentication information
It is used to sign you in, keep the account secure and let you recover access.
3.Child data
For each child profile:
- Nickname
- Birth month and year, or age
- Avatar
It is used to show the profile in the app and to place the child in the right age group. A real name is not required.
4.Gameplay data
- Results and progress of the activities played in the app
It is used for progress tracking, age-appropriate activity selection, adaptive difficulty and the progress information shown to parents.
5.Why data is processed
Data is processed only to provide NIVA to your family. It is not sold and it is not used for advertising.
6.How child data is handled
Child data is entered by the parent, linked to the parent's account and controlled by the parent. Children are not asked to type personal information while playing, and the app does not record their voice or image.
7.Exporting your data
Parents can obtain a copy of their account, child profile and gameplay data. Use the data export option in the parent area of the app. If you cannot access the app, send a request from the email address of your account:
Support contact will be published before launch.
8.Deleting your account
Parents can delete their account together with all associated child and gameplay data. The steps are described on the Delete Account page.
